Properties

The TST Orthopedic Intramedullary Tibial Nail System is designed with the following objectives:
• To allow for suprapatellar insertion, enabling the procedure to be performed with the patient in a semi-extended position.
• To enable anatomical use for both the right and left tibia.
• To reduce the number of surgical instruments required during the procedure.
• To facilitate easy insertion and extraction, thereby reducing operation time.
• To provide controlled compression capabilities.
• To eliminate the need for external support materials, allowing for intramedullary fixation that promotes early mobilization of patients.

Indications

TIN III is designed for temporary fracture fixation and stabilization of long bones.
The indications for the TIN III include:

• Compound and simple shaft fractures
• Proximal, metaphyseal, and distal shaft fractures
• Segmental fractures
• Comminuted fractures
• Osteopenic and osteoporotic fractures
• Pathological fractures
• Fractures with bone loss
