1998

PRODUCTION

TST Medical Devices has started computer-assisted production in 1998. Since founded, TST Medical Devices is one of Turkey’s leading manufacturers of orthopedic products used for patient care throughout Turkey and almost 40 countries worldwide. TST keeps growing continuously with multi-skilled and dedicated engineers and technicians to improve the performance of the production process. On-going investment in people, training, and technology has enabled us to provide an increasing range of surgeon-friendly and competitively but affordable priced orthopedic products. From a manufacturing perspective, the company has invested extensively in specialized machines, and equipments to increase the production capacity in high quality.

2003

CERTIFICATION

The processes within TST are carried out considering the requirements of international standards / legal regulations and internal disciplines.

The system created by TST and the products manufactured by TST was certified by the notified body for the first time in 2003 according to ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 13485 Medical Devices Quality Management System and 93/42/AT Medical Devices Directive.

It has created both its products and quality management system according to the related standards in order to make its domestic production quality reach the international level in the orthopedic implant sector and make the domestic products take their place in the international market. Today, TST is still audited and certified according to ISO 13485 Medical Devices Quality Management System and 93/42/AT Medical Device Regulation.

TST can easily meet the regulations of the countries which it exports to, carries out certification studies including the 2017/745 Medical Device Regulations – MDR, FDA, MHRA, MDSAP regulations valid in different parts of the World.

A documented Quality Management System has been established in TST including fulfillment of TS EN ISO 13485:2016 and 93/42/EEC MDD and 2005/50 EC and 2007/47 EC directive requirements, development of quality, achievement of quality targets, authorization and responsibilities of quality-related practices.

In accordance with the Quality Management System carried out at TST, all information from the design of the products to the storage & logistics process and delivery records to the end-user is kept throughout the product life. Aiming to zero defects, TST uses these records to ensure traceability in case of a potential problem and ensures that patients, practitioners, and third parties are protected against dangers that may arise in terms of health and safety.

Since human health comes to the fore in the developing world, “traceability” has great importance in studies aimed at ensuring product safety. Traceability is one of the most basic tools in ensuring product safety, and in case of any undesirable situation, it is possible to detect the source of the problem by monitoring the products and processes backwards; It is an approach that aims to establish the necessary information system for crisis management such as recall by looking forward.

2017

R&D

TST considers research and development as a must in manufacturing orthopedic implants. Also knows that development is possible by investing and researching.

TST is the most innovative company in the market of the region and cares R&D, shows this by its investments. TST became the first and only orthopedic implant manufacturer with an R&D center approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2017. There are 19 completed and 6 ongoing projects carried out in cooperation with the Industry-State, in interaction with expert engineers and specialist doctors. TST which, has all kinds of technical, mechanical, and physical infrastructure for biomechanical studies and production of prototypes of the developed products, works with the leading universities of the country when necessary.

Innovative products that were invented as a result of these researches and studies attract great attention in the market as they provide solutions to existing problems.Innovative products which are developed by TST, have been supported by the ‘’Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey’’ (TUBITAK). Additionally the company has been awarded as the role model of ‘’the R&D success stories with the support of TUBITAK’’
