A. Unipolar Head

TST A. Unipolar Head is mainly used in the treatment of femoral head fractures in elderly patients. The optimum placement of the A. Unipolar head in the acetabulum is ensured thanks to the different ring sizes. It is preferred because of the short operation time and the prevention of dislocation of large diameters.

Properties

  • It is produced from CrNi raw material.
  • Unipolar heads in different size options allow the surgeon to overcome the difficulties that originate during the application.

Indications

  • Femoral head fracture,
  • Avascular necrosis,
  • Hemi-arthroplasty or partial hip replacement,
  • Replace only the femoral head and neck,
  • Non-inflammatory degenerative articular disease including osteoarthritis, osteonecrosis, avascular necrosis, and post-traumatic arthritis,
  • Rheumatic articular inflammation,
  • Correction of secondary arthritis and functional deformity in various diseases and anomalies such as congenital hip dysplasia or ankylosing spondylitis,
  • The treatment of proximal femoral nonunion, femoral neck fracture, and trochanteric fractures of the proximal femur with head involvement.

Sizes

There are five neck length options, ranging from -6 to +6, to adjust the neck length of the A. Unipolar.
