PROFIN - Proximal Femur Nail

Profin is an intramedullary nail system designed for femoral proximal end fractures. It provides rotational stability and compression with the help of cannulated proximal neck screws.

8.5 mm diameter cannulated proximal screws

static and dynamic locking options in the distal part

compression option

Properties

  • The cannulated end cap protects the top of the nail and eases the extraction procedure.
  • Provides rotational stability and compression.
  • The same nail is used in the right and left applications.
  • Because of the distal slit design that allows stretching, it reduces stress focusing.
  • Static and dynamic distal locking options are available.
  • It is used with the unreamed application technique.

Indications

  • Pertrochanteric fractures,
  • Intertrochanteric fractures,
  • Subtrochanteric fractures.
