Herbert

Herbert Screw is a cannulated compression screw system designed for optimum fixation of bone fragments.

compression option

2.5 mm, 3.0 mm ve 4.3 mm diameter options

Properties

  • It provides better stabilization and compression thanks to the different thread distances and body diameter at the beginning and end of the screw.
  • The screw can be inserted through the articular cartilage and positioned below the bone surface.
  • It slows down penetration thanks to its thread design.

Indications

  • Fractures/nonunions of small bones and small bone arthrodesis, including scaphoid fractures,
  • Intra-articular fractures of tarsal, metatarsal, carpal and metacarpals,
  • Bunionectomy and osteotomies,
  • Arthrodesis of small joints (eg, phalanges),
  • It is used in the patella, ulna, and radial styloid fractures.

3.0 mm Herbert Screws are designed for fixation of intra-articular and extra-articular fractures and nonunions of small bones and small bone fragments; small joint arthrodesis; It is used for bunionectomy and osteotomies including scaphoid and other carpal bones, metacarpals, tarsals, metatarsals, patella, ulnar styloid, capitellum, radial head and radial styloid.

4.3 mm Herbert Screws are indicated for fracture fixation, reconstruction, osteotomy, and arthrodesis of various bones and bone fragments including joint fusions (arthrodeses) in the foot and fixation of intra-articular fractures of the humerus, femur, and tibia.
